El Proyecto de la Biografía
This was our first project that focused on primarily Spanish 2 subjects; imperfecto and pretérito. In this project we had to pick a person that was Spanish and research them. We then wrote a one minute speech about their life, in Spainsh. I chose Augusto Pinochet because of my quickly approaching venture to the place he shaped so forcefully, Chile.
I really enjoyed this project because it allowed us to speak a lot and apply the new rules of the imperfecto and pretérito to real content.

Receta
For this project we were assigned to pick a traditionally Spanish recipe and translate it into Spanish and then create a cooking video. In this project we we worked on commands. The process to turn a verb into a command is really straight forward. One only has to take the tú conjugation and remove the s. For example, if the verb was 'poner', the command would be 'pone'. We also learned about the 8 irregular commands; ven, di, sal, has, ten, ve, pon, se.
I chose to cook Cocadas, a cookie similar to a macaroon. This kind of cookie is eaten most commonly in Central and South America. Who knows, maybe I'll even try them in Chile next year! I cooked and took the footage as well as wrote the script. My partner, Kaden, made the video and read the script.
The cookies turned out really well, although they were a bit hard..not sure if that was my fault or the nature of the cookies.
