SOCIALIZATION PROJECT
In Humanities, our first project was focused on The Cycle of Socialization and how, as an individual, you are socialized. Our task was to apply all of the information we've learned in the videos, handouts, and lessons,to create an essay and a mask portraying how I have been socialized to be who I are. For my project I chose to focus on Gender, Socio-Economic class, and Race.

Tragedy Project
For our second and final project of the semester, we were given the task to create a Modern Tragedy on a current social issue and use classic Ancient Greek tragedies such as Medea and Oedipus Rex as our models. My partner Izzy and I decided to pick abortion as our social issue and portray how if the right of a safe and legal abortion is taken away, women will resort to illegal and unsafe abortions. This project taught us both about ancient Greek Tragadies and current social debates/problems.

Model U.N. Project
In Sara Price’s 9th grade Humanities class, we participated in a Model U.N Conference, where each one of us assumed a role of a country and became a member of either the General Assembly or the Security Council. , We then had to represent the country’s views on controversial world issues. I was chosen to represent China. We then were given The North Korean Nuclear Issue and the Israel Palestine Conflict to research, resolve, and compromise on one of four picked Resolutions at the final Conference.
