Self Portrait
Teacher Creature Project
Proof Sheet
Reflection
For our first big project in Digital Arts, we had to choose a teacher and manipulate their picture in Photoshop to turn it into a Teacher Creature. I chose to pick Hannah Starbuck, Steven Sellers, and Roxy McKnight. Then, I decided to put their faces on Toy Story characters because, well honestly, I just didn't know what else to do. Since this is my first year using Photoshop, I definitely found some aspects quite difficult. I especially struggled with figuring out how to match skin tones and warp objects. Apart from
this, I really did enjoy this project. I liked making an image look completely different from the original. I also liked being able to alter something and make it my own. Unfortunately, I don’t really like how it turned out only because I don’t like my idea and it’s not particularly funny. If I were to do this again, I’d spend more time figuring out what I wanted to do with the teachers.
This project really taught me about what kind of digital artist I am. I have learned that I am good at problem solving and creating a pleasing composition. But, of course there is always room for improvement. I should improve on using more tools and blending layers better. But, overall, this project was both fun and educational. I’m glad I learned how to use Photoshop and am excited to use it in the future.

Photoshop Tutorials
- I changed the pupil from blue and green to brown and purple using the pen tool
- I made the teeth into Vampire teeth using the pen and warp tool.
Landscape Project
For our second project in Photoshop we did the Landscape Project. I learned several concepts about Photoshop and scale and proportion. This made me understand the importance of what objects in the foreground, Middle ground, and Background. The foreground, the object with the most detail in the front of the picture, holds the flower and the tree. The Middle ground, the, well obviously, the middle part of the painting, holds the cliff and the bend in the road. And finally, the Background that holds the top of the mountain, the sunset and the cloud, both photo shopped in.
Name Project
This was our first project experimenting with both the cameras and Photoshop.
